After a year of planning the L1 Festival has come and gone, and what a festival it was! With our 4 outdoor stages across the city as well as indoor venues for after show parties there was something for everyone! From audience members dancing at St Peters square to Fly With Vampires and Metropolitans, to chilling out to Zidaniels and Ian Dunn at the Acoustic stage. Drinking cider at The Orchard whilst listening to The Trestles and Mono LPs and of course not to forget all the people who got up to have a go at our open mic style Busking Stage on Lyceum (a special shout out has to go to Mike Drummond for entertaining us all for a good while in the rain on Sunday afternoon). It’s safe to say the general census was that the L1 Festival 2009 was a great success, so we just want to thank all the bands, singers, musicians and artists who performed for us this year as well as everyone who came down!
